Shanghai delegation visits Dunedin to mark sister-city anniversary

A delegation from Huangpu District, Shanghai, will visit Dunedin on October 29 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their sister-city relationship. They will sign a memorandum of understanding for tourism cooperation and unveil a photographic exhibition featuring Yu Garden. The exhibition will showcase 20 images of Yu Garden and will be displayed at Lan Yuan Dunedin Chinese Garden starting October 31. This event highlights the ongoing partnership between the two cities and their cultural ties. Dunedin has welcomed 15 delegations from China this year, with 12 from Shanghai. The relationship is considered the most active among Dunedin's four sister cities, which also include Edinburgh, Otaru, and Portsmouth.
