Senator Orji Kalu says he will leave Nigeria's APC if Tinubu disrespects Catholic Church

Senator Orji Kalu said he would quit Nigeria's ruling APC if President Tinubu ever disrespected the Catholic Church, defending bishops who criticized the government. Speaking on Channels Television Thursday, Kalu backed the bishops as the country's conscience after their State House meeting with Tinubu, but argued aides' statements did not necessarily represent the president. He acknowledged macroeconomic improvements, but admitted ordinary Nigerians had not yet felt benefits, blaming security challenges for food prices and grassroots hardship.
