Sen. Warren critiques Trump's cabinet picks and prepares for third term in Congress
Senator Elizabeth Warren will begin her third term in January, serving in a Democratic minority as Republicans control Congress and Donald Trump returns to the White House. Trump is quickly naming nominees for his second administration. Warren plans to strongly oppose Trump's nominee for secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, citing concerns over his qualifications and personal conduct. She criticized his views on women in combat roles, linking them to national defense. Warren is open to supporting Trump's pick for secretary of labor, Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, due to her backing of pro-labor legislation. Warren intends to meet with Chavez-DeRemer to discuss her record further.
