Scranton scuffle leads to assault charges for two men

Two Scranton men, Bobby Martinez and Marquese Whitted, face assault charges following a physical altercation at a residence on Wednesday morning. The incident began when Martinez, 19, called police, alleging an attack by Whitted, 39, his mother's boyfriend. Whitted returned to the scene and was arrested after police observed evidence of a struggle, including dried blood and a toppled bar stool. Both men are charged with simple assault and harassment, with preliminary hearings set for May 23. Whitted is held at Lackawanna County Prison, while Martinez was released on bail.
