Scottish police investigate missing Ugandan boxers after Commonwealth Games

Four members of Uganda's boxing team are missing after the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, with Scottish police investigating their failure to return home. The athletes did not rejoin the delegation before its scheduled departure. Uganda's mission chief said they told their manager they would return, then switched off phones, breaking camp rules. A Pakistani boxer, Qudrat Ullah, also failed to go home. Asylum bids by athletes have followed past Commonwealth Games. Uganda's chef de mission said he did not know why they disappeared; their visas expire in October. About 3,000 athletes from 74 nations attended.
