Scientists confirm universe is expanding faster than expected
Scientists have confirmed that the universe is expanding faster than current physics can explain. This conclusion comes from precise measurements of the Coma galaxy cluster, located about 321 million light-years away. The new measurements indicate a Hubble constant of 76.5 kilometers per second per megaparsec. This figure differs significantly from an older measurement of 67.4 kilometers per second per megaparsec, creating a "tension" in cosmology. Researchers are investigating this discrepancy to either correct assumptions in existing models or uncover new physics. The findings were published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
