Scarano's film debut addresses autism in Italy's Florence
Greta Scarano debuts as a director with "La vita da grandi," a film addressing autism. The film features Prato-based actor Yuri Tuci, whom Scarano selected after seeing him in a video. She will present the movie at the Principe cinema in Florence. The film is inspired by the true story of siblings Damiano and Margherita Tercon, focusing on their relationship and the experiences of the character with Asperger's syndrome. Scarano was inspired by their performance on "Italia's Got Talent" and their book. Scarano emphasizes the importance of pursuing dreams, highlighting the challenges individuals with autism face, especially due to societal attitudes. She mentions the difficulties faced by the real-life inspiration and the film's actor.
