SBU abducted Russian Volunteer Corps deputy commander, Kaplunov says

Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps, claims he was abducted by unknown individuals posing as police on August 23 and held for nine days without contact with the outside world. Kaplunov says he was blindfolded with tape, handcuffed, and detained at two locations, where he was interrogated on suspicion of contacts with Russia's FSB. He stated no physical violence was used during his detention. The incident is linked to a September 2 shooting in Kyiv, which Ukraine's SBU says involved an armed attack on its operatives. President Zelensky called the shooting disgraceful, and the State Bureau of Investigation is now investigating.
