Saudi foreign minister anticipates swift progress on US agreements while addressing normalization with Israel

Saudi Arabia's foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, stated that the country could quickly advance some agreements with the U.S., despite the ongoing impasse over recognizing Israel. He emphasized that normalization with Israel is contingent on resolving Palestinian statehood. During the Future Investment Initiative forum, Prince Faisal mentioned that several bilateral agreements, particularly in trade and technology, could progress soon. However, he noted that significant defense cooperation agreements are more complex and tied to the normalization issue. He also indicated that Saudi Arabia does not have a preference for the outcome of the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
