Saudi Arabia tops global date exports for fourth year with $517 million in sales

aljazeera.net (Arabic) —

Saudi Arabia topped global date exports by value for the fourth consecutive year in 2025, reaching 1.938 billion riyals (about $517 million), a 14.3% increase from the previous year. The export growth was driven by improved supply chains, higher export efficiency, and expansion into new markets, with Saudi dates now reaching over 125 countries, according to the National Center for Palms and Dates. Saudi Arabia produces over 1.9 million tons of dates annually from more than 37 million palm trees. The sector's development supports the country's Vision 2030 goals of boosting non-oil exports, while Egypt leads globally in production volume.
