Saudi Arabia: 3 killed in attacks on Riyadh airport and Saudia plane
Three Saudis were killed and several citizens and residents injured in two attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and a Saudia aircraft, Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation announced Friday. The first attack hit airport facilities, while the second targeted a Saudia plane, causing material damage. Injuries ranged from minor to severe, with victims transported to hospitals. Emergency teams responded immediately, and the authority confirmed operations resumed with air traffic returning to normal. The attacks follow Thursday's announcement by Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry that it intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles fired by Houthi forces toward Riyadh. Civil Defense reported material damage to a kindergarten and medical clinic complex from missile debris.
