Satellite images show Adler oil depot tanks burned despite anti-drone nets

A Ukrainian drone attack on the Rosneft-Kubannefteprodukt oil depot in Adler on the night of September 4 caused a major fire, with satellite images showing five to six of ten fuel tanks completely burned. All tanks were covered with anti-drone nets at the time of the strike, but these protections failed to prevent damage and the subsequent blaze. The satellite photo published by Radio Svoboda confirms significant damage across the facility. Russian forces had installed the nets over the tanks as a defensive measure, and similar structures were also used at production facilities in Alabuga. The attack was part of a broader strike that also hit an air defense division and another oil depot near Sochi.
