Sarytogan secures 25-year mining licence for graphite project in Kazakhstan
Sarytogan Graphite has secured a 25-year mining licence for its graphite project in Kazakhstan, following recent environmental approval. This licence covers 8.88 square kilometers and can be extended for an additional 20 years. The new licence has lighter yearly expenditure requirements compared to the previous exploration licence. Sarytogan plans to accelerate its development and finance efforts, including testing samples in Australia and the U.S. for potential customers. As part of the licence conditions, Sarytogan will use local services and invest in training and regional development. The company has gained international attention, including a $5 million investment from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
