São Paulo court compels ex-BBB to testify on illegal gambling
Former Big Brother contestant and lawyer Adélia Soares will be forcibly brought to testify before the Parliamentary Inquiry into illegal online gambling, known as the CPI das Bets. She failed to appear for a previous summons. The Federal Justice of São Paulo authorized the coercive measure due to Soares's non-appearance after being summoned on April 29th. She is suspected of involvement in crimes related to illegal online gambling, including falsification of documents and criminal association. Soares is a partner in a payment processing company, Payflow, which is suspected of facilitating illicit financial transactions. The CPI has been extended, but some critics suggest the investigation has yielded few significant results.
