San Diego Zoo launches live Panda Cam for global viewers

The San Diego Zoo launched a live Panda Cam on October 15, allowing viewers worldwide to watch giant pandas Yun Chuan and Xin Bao. The cam streams during daylight hours, showcasing the pandas' activities, including eating and playing. Yun Chuan and Xin Bao arrived at the zoo in June, marking the first giant pandas in the U.S. in 21 years. They are on a ten-year loan from China, with the zoo planning to conduct conservation research and potential breeding. The launch coincided with the arrival of two pandas at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Unlike San Diego's secretive arrival, the National Zoo's pandas were publicly welcomed at the airport.
