San Diego Zoo float wins top prize at Rose Parade for second year in a row

The San Diego Zoo float won the Sweepstakes Award for "most beautiful entry" at the 136th Rose Parade, marking its second consecutive win. This year's float, titled "Friendship Across the Earth," showcased giant panda replicas and other animals. The float featured Yun Chuan and Xin Bao, the first pandas sent to the U.S. in 20 years, along with red pandas and a Malayan tiger. It was designed by Artistic Entertainment Services and stood over 50 feet tall. Last year's float, "It Began With a Roar," also received the Sweepstakes Award. It included a large model of a lion named Rex.
