Samsung upgrades RAM for Galaxy S25 series ahead of launch
Samsung has reportedly upgraded the RAM for the Galaxy S25 series due to manufacturing issues. The new RAM will use a smaller 12-nanometer process instead of the planned 13nm, which should improve performance and reduce heat generation. This change affects the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, with some devices using RAM from Micron. The new RAM is built on the LPDDR5X standard, enhancing the phone's ability to run multiple apps and features smoothly. The Galaxy S25 series is set to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22. The S25 Ultra may offer a 16GB RAM option in some markets, while other regions, including the U.S., will have a maximum of 12GB.
