SAFCO Microfinance receives WOMANi Award for Financial Inclusion in Hyderabad

SAFCO Microfinance Company celebrated receiving the WOMANi Championship Award for Financial Inclusion 2026 at its Hyderabad headquarters, with officials congratulating founder Dr Suleman G. Abro on the international recognition. Dr Abro said the award reflected years of collective effort and perseverance, noting SAFCO overcame limited resources and a difficult political environment. He highlighted the organization's longstanding commitment to women's development and economic empowerment across Pakistan. SMCL Managing Director Syed Sajjad Ali Shah said SAFCO's financial services journey began in 1994 with Rs 5,000 and has grown into an institution handling billions of rupees. The ceremony concluded with cake-cutting.
