Ryanair announces major rule changes for 2025 including new boarding pass policy and hand luggage limits

Ryanair will implement a major change in May 2025, requiring all passengers to use digital boarding passes. The option for printed passes will be eliminated, and fees for obtaining a boarding pass at the airport will increase significantly. Additionally, Ryanair has strict hand luggage size restrictions. Passengers can bring one free carry-on bag that must fit under the seat. Oversized bags at the gate may incur fees of up to €70. Passengers are also advised to arrive at the airport at least 40 minutes before departure to avoid a €100 missed departure fee. This fee applies to those arriving late or needing to rebook after their flight has left.
