Russia's Rosneft faces allegations of employing escorts for executives, investigation reveals
An investigation by the Anti-Corruption Foundation (ACF) claims that Rosneft, Russia's largest oil company, employs young women as escorts for senior executives. These women reportedly hold high-paying administrative roles without necessary qualifications. The ACF found that many of these women, in their twenties, received salaries significantly higher than their experienced peers. They often accompanied Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin on international trips to luxury destinations. Rosneft has not yet commented on the allegations. The investigation highlights ongoing concerns about corruption within the Russian government, despite the death of opposition figure Alexei Navalny in 2024.
