Russian Strike on Kyiv Kills One, Damages Residential Building

A Russian attack on Kyiv on Thursday killed one person, triggered a fire, and badly damaged a high-rise residential building, according to officials. The city's military administration confirmed the single fatality from the evening strike. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported damage to the ninth floor of the residence, with fifteen people evacuated from the building just outside the city centre. Unofficial Telegram channels showed a large fireball and said a jet-powered drone caused the strike, while Klitschko noted six others were wounded in earlier attacks.
