Russia Rarely Uses FPV Drops from Shaheds, Kyiv Advisor Says

A recent FPV drone drop was recorded in the Kyiv region, but Ukrainian presidential advisor Serhiy Beskrestnov says there is no confirmation it was launched from a Shahed drone, calling it one possible version under investigation. Beskrestnov stated Russia has experimented with attaching two FPV drones to drone wings for some time, including on Shaheds, but the tactic is rarely used due to low effectiveness and complex control. He noted a similar drop was recorded a week ago in Konotop, Sumy region. The advisor said such launches are often for psychological impact, as the FPVs lack large warheads and are controlled via commercial LTE networks, which Ukraine monitors. He dismissed claims of secret long-range drones, emphasizing the Kyiv region case was unsuccessful for Russia.
