Russia intercepts 238 Ukrainian drones across 15 regions, casualties reported

Russia's Ministry of Defense reported intercepting and destroying 238 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones on Wednesday, September 2, across 15 regions, with civilian casualties reported in several areas. The drones were shot down between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM over regions including Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, and the Moscow region, as well as Crimea and the Black Sea. In Belgorod, one man was killed and multiple civilians, including a two-year-old girl, were injured. Casualties were also reported in Bryansk and Kursk. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported 28 drones shot down near the capital, with no injuries or infrastructure damage reported, though airports operated with restrictions. Drones were also suppressed in Yaroslavl and Penza regions without casualties.
