Russia equips Shahed drones with R-60 missiles to target Ukrainian helicopters

Russia is arming Shahed drones with air-to-air missiles, posing a new threat to Ukrainian helicopters. Previously, Ukraine successfully shot down 84% of over 5,400 Shahed drones in November, often using helicopters. The R-60 missiles are intended to counter these Ukrainian helicopters. The R-60 is a short-range, heat-seeking missile originally used by fighter jets in the 1970s. While it adds significant weight and may not have its own warhead, it could increase the risk to Ukrainian helicopters.
