Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos lead takeover of Brazil's Inter de Limeira

Brazilian football legends Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos have launched a takeover of third-division club Inter de Limeira, with shareholders approving the sale of 80% of the club's new SAF structure on Monday. The investment group, led by businessman Enrico Ambrogini and including a Saudi prince, plans to invest up to €76 million over ten years, with a guaranteed minimum of €31 million across 15 years. Initial funding of €3.3 million will restructure the club and clear existing debt. Club president Danilo Maluf said the goal is reaching Brazil's Serie A, noting current revenue cannot cover third-division costs. Ambrogini emphasized this project differs from previous SAF models, with gradual growth planned for the city of Limeira.
