Rockets exercise contract options for four players including Jabari Smith Jr

The Houston Rockets have exercised contract options for four players. They confirmed options for Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason for the 2025-26 season, and for Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore for the 2024-25 season. Jabari Smith Jr., a starter, will earn over $12 million next season. Tari Eason will make about $5.7 million. Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore will earn approximately $9.7 million and $3.5 million, respectively. This decision follows recent contract extensions for Alperen Sengun and Jalen Green. Smith is currently averaging 11.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, while the other three players contribute a total of 21.6 points off the bench.
