RFK Jr. claims drug use improved his academic performance in resurfaced interview

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently discussed his past drug use during a podcast, claiming that narcotics helped him excel in school. He said he struggled academically until he began using drugs, which he viewed as self-medication for his restless mind. Kennedy recalled starting with LSD and moving to cocaine and heroin after his father's assassination in 1968. He stated that drug use allowed him to focus better, leading to academic success and achievements like writing books and attending law school. He later got sober after a 1983 arrest for heroin possession and described addiction as a life-consuming struggle. Kennedy has suggested addressing America's addiction crisis by creating rural rehabilitation centers without screens or cellphones.
