"Resident Playbook" series explores challenges of medical residency
tvN has released a new poster and teaser for its upcoming series, "Resident Playbook." This show is a spin-off of the popular "Hospital Playlist." It will follow the lives of first-year residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center. The newly shared poster shows four residents rushing through the hospital. Papers are flying, and one resident even loses a shoe. This scene highlights the chaotic nature of their daily lives. Unlike the relaxed doctors in "Hospital Playlist," these residents look anxious and stressed. The teaser video focuses on the OB-GYN department. The new residents, including Oh Yi Young, Pyo Nam Kyung, Um Jae Il, and Kim Sa Bi, face challenges as they meet newborns for the first time. They are unsure how to approach patients, especially with laboring mothers. This uncertainty reflects their struggle to grow both professionally and socially. Despite their fears, the residents are motivated to do their best for the mothers and babies. They are dedicated to their work, saying, “If it’s for the mother and baby, we do it.” The teaser ends on an emotional note with a newborn’s gentle greeting of "Hello." "Resident Playbook" is set to premiere on April 12 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN.
