Republican Bill Huizenga wins reelection in Southwest Michigan congressional race

Republican Bill Huizenga has won reelection to represent Southwest Michigan in Congress. He defeated Democrat Jessica Swartz and U.S. Taxpayer Party candidate Curtis Clark in the election held on November 5. Huizenga received about 60% of the votes, totaling 140,871, while Swartz garnered 89,191 votes. This victory allows Huizenga to continue serving Michigan’s 4th Congressional District, a position he has held since 2010. The district includes parts of several counties, such as Allegan and Kalamazoo. Swartz, an attorney, has announced her campaign for the next election cycle.
