Renault launches new Twingo, a European-made electric city car under 20,000 euros

Renault has officially launched its new Twingo, an electric vehicle produced in Europe and priced under 20,000 euros, fulfilling a two-year-old promise. The new Twingo is praised for its adherence to the original Twingo's spirit, offering a compact design, practical interior with a sliding rear bench, and a 360-liter trunk, making it suitable for urban use. While the electric Twingo has 82 hp and a 230 km range, Renault is rumored to be developing hybrid versions of the Twingo, R5, and 4L, potentially using compact units from its Horse joint venture with Geely.
