Reliance celebrates 25 years of Jamnagar refinery as it strengthens export focus

Reliance Industries Limited celebrated the 25th anniversary of its first refinery in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on December 28. This refinery transformed India into a self-sufficient energy producer and a major fuel exporter to Europe and the United States. The Jamnagar complex has expanded over the years, now featuring two refineries with a combined capacity of 62 million tonnes per year. It is recognized as the world's largest single-site refining complex, processing heavy crude oil into high-quality fuels. The site has also developed into an industrial hub, improving the local environment with green initiatives, including Asia’s largest mango orchard and a wildlife rehabilitation center.
