Refugee employment initiative gains momentum as companies commit to hiring thousands
Youssef, a Syrian refugee in Stockholm, works at Randstad, helping other refugees find jobs. He assists with applications, translations, and interview preparation, aiming to connect skilled refugees with employers. The Tent Partnership for Refugees, led by Gideon Maltz, has expanded to over 400 companies across 11 countries. In June 2023, 41 companies committed to hiring 250,000 refugees in three years, highlighting the growing support for refugee employment. Maltz recently received the Charles Bronfman Prize for his work, emphasizing the importance of welcoming refugees. Tent focuses on helping those fleeing conflict or oppression, partnering with organizations to improve job access for refugees.
