Red weather alert and tornado warning issued for Northern Ireland and Scotland as Storm Éowyn approaches

A rare red weather alert and tornado warning have been issued for Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland as Storm Éowyn approaches. The storm is expected to bring winds up to 100 mph and severe conditions starting Friday. The red alert will be in effect for Northern Ireland from 7 am to 2 pm and for parts of Scotland from 10 am to 5 pm. All of England is under yellow or amber wind warnings. The Met Office warns of dangerous conditions, potential travel disruptions, and damage to property. Heavy rain and snow are also expected as the storm moves across the UK.
