Red Sox prospect Cooper Adams showcases impressive progress

Cooper Adams, a right-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, went from being undrafted to participating in the 2025 Spring Breakout game in just one year. He signed with the Red Sox as a free agent in February 2024. Adams improved his fastball velocity from the high-80s to 97.7 mph after training at Tread Athletics. He also developed new pitches, including a cutter and a slider, which he considers his best secondary pitch. In the 2024 season with High-A Greenville, Adams had a 5.08 ERA over 26 games. He focused on developing his skills and consistency, crediting his progress to the Red Sox coaching staff.
