RCMP remove protestors from Vancouver Island logging blockade

ctvnews.ca

RCMP are removing old-growth logging protestors from a blockade in the Walbran Valley on Vancouver Island. The enforcement began Tuesday after a B.C. Supreme Court injunction prohibited obstruction of the area. Four protestors were arrested, facing charges for breaching a court order and criminal mischief. The blockade, established in August, was set up by activists protesting logging activities by Tsawak-qin Forestry, a company co-owned by Western Forest Products and the Huu-ay-aht First Nations.
