RCMP investigate Nazi costume complaint in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia

RCMP in Nova Scotia are investigating a complaint about a social media photo showing a man in a Nazi uniform with a swastika while trick-or-treating in Cole Harbour on Halloween. The man was photographed pushing a stroller on a street in Cole Harbour, about 10 kilometres east of Halifax. Resident Paige Hoveling, who captured the image, said she was shocked and hopes the man learns the symbols represent hate and harm. Halifax Mayor Andy Fillmore and councillor Trish Purdy condemned the costume as hateful and morally repugnant. The RCMP urge reporting bias-motivated incidents, and Parliament recently passed the Combatting Hate Act addressing Nazi symbol displays.
