Rajinikanth to play six roles in announced sequel to blockbuster Jailer

A sequel to the hit film "Jailer," titled "Jailer 2," has been announced. Rajinikanth will portray six different characters. The production company, Sun Pictures, shared posters of iconic characters from the original film on Instagram. The sequel's plot and concept are finalized, but the title is still under discussion, with "Jailer 2" and "Hukum" as options. The film is expected to release in the first half of 2025. "Jailer," released in 2023, earned ₹650 crore globally. The sequel will also feature actors like Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar, continuing the story from the original film.
