Rajasthan CM unveils village development roadmap under Viksit Gram-Shahri Ward Abhiyan
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the government is preparing a detailed roadmap for village development under the 'Chief Minister Viksit Gram-Shahri Ward Abhiyan', urging former Panchayati Raj representatives to play a proactive role in strengthening Gram Swaraj. Sharma emphasized the importance of grassroots leadership, noting he is still called "sarpanch" first in villages, and called for greater public participation and transparency in panchayats. He also defended his government's job creation record, stating appointments were given to 1.94 lakh people, with recruitment underway for more posts. The CM said Atal Gyan Kendras are being established at the panchayat level to provide libraries, e-libraries, online coaching and e-Mitra services for rural youth.
