Rainbow Stage announces cast for "Frozen" musical

The cast for Rainbow Stage's summer production of "Frozen: The Broadway Musical" has been announced after a competitive audition process that attracted 1,000 performers. Nine-year-old Emeline Arnold and ten-year-old Kari Castillo will share the role of young Anna. Layla North, also ten, will play young Elsa. The full cast will be revealed soon, with rehearsals starting a month before the show opens on August 7. This will be the first stage version of "Frozen" in Winnipeg. Tickets for the musical are selling quickly, with 10,000 already sold for 21 performances. Artistic director Carson Nattrass noted this is the fastest ticket sales they have ever experienced, indicating strong interest in the production.
