Rabies outbreak confirmed in Bangkok's Soi Onnut 86 as officials vaccinate residents and pets
A rabies outbreak has been confirmed in Bangkok's Soi Onnut 86, prompting health officials to take action. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration reported that stray dogs near a garbage treatment center tested positive for the virus. In response, 728 people and 104 pets have been vaccinated. Authorities have also isolated 51 stray dogs for monitoring. Residents are advised to avoid the area and ensure their pets do not interact with other animals. Free rabies vaccinations are available at Public Health Service Centres No 22 and 57. Pet owners are encouraged to report any unusual behavior in their pets to the Health Department hotline.
