Rabbitohs honor Jai Arrow in 100th NRL game after MND diagnosis

South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow will play his 100th NRL game on Friday night against the Sydney Roosters, despite being forced into retirement due to a motor neurone disease diagnosis. The match will feature a tribute to Arrow, who will be replaced after the opening whistle. Wayne Bennett presented Arrow with his jersey on Friday morning, and fans lined up at the club to buy special commemorative T-shirts. The coach said the gesture means an enormous amount to the player personally and is something the game can be proud of. Roosters coach Trent Robinson praised Souths and the NRL for their support, noting that footage of Arrow's recent tribute on the Gold Coast has been shared globally across different sports. He said he is honoured Arrow can run out for his 100th game against his team.
