Kamaljit Arora received a life sentence for drowning his two children. He will be eligible for parole after 25 years. The Laval court also sentenced Arora to an additional nine years for attempted murder of his eldest daughter and strangulation of his ex-wife. The murders occurred in 2022. Arora's actions were described as elaborate and thought-out by the judge, who rejected defense arguments of depression. The Crown suggested the murders were an act of revenge.
