Qualifications Authority replaces entire secondary school exams team before exam season

The Qualifications Authority has replaced nearly its entire secondary school exams team in the past year, just a week before exams begin. All eight members from last year have resigned or taken voluntary redundancy, with the last departures occurring after the exams. The authority stated that the new team consists of seven experienced members and four temporary staff. It did not provide reasons for the staff changes but confirmed that exam center plans are progressing well, with most already approved. As of now, 5,774 exam center staff are ready, and contracts for an additional 1,324 are being finalized. The authority emphasized that multiple teams support the exam process, and staff contracting will continue until exams start.
