Quack doctor and hospital owner arrested in Dadri tragedy
A 27-year-old woman died after giving birth to a stillborn at a hospital in Dadri. This led to the arrest of a quack doctor and the hospital's owner for negligence. Police said the hospital, Krishna Hospital, had been operating without registration for five years. The hospital owner, Rajeev Bhati, 38, and the unlicensed doctor, Juhi Singh, are accused of conducting the delivery without any medical qualifications. Police stated that their actions directly led to the deaths of the woman and her newborn. Komal was admitted to the hospital on January 2 while in labor. Tragically, both she and her baby died during the delivery. Her family filed a complaint, prompting an investigation by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The investigation revealed that Juhi Singh had no medical degree or registration. Based on the CMO’s findings, police filed charges against the accused under various legal sections, including those related to negligence and culpable homicide. Authorities also announced plans to seal the hospital.
