The outbreak has led to 148 reported cases of illness, including abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fever, with 23 individuals hospitalized. The canteen has temporarily closed all three branches. The canteen has apologized and offered full refunds plus compensation equivalent to the purchase price for affected customers who provide proof of purchase and medical documentation.
