Pune students raise funds for 11 NGOs at Sutradhar 2026

Students in Pune organized Sutradhar 2026, a social impact event on Aug 1 that raised funds for 11 NGOs, drawing around 250 visitors. The initiative was led by students aged 16 to 18. Over 40 students from Victorious Kidss Educares and other Pune and Mumbai schools coordinated the event, which featured NGO stalls, stage presentations, and cultural performances. Donations were collected for causes including child welfare, education, and women’s empowerment, with the highest collection around Rs 16,000. Organizers distributed Rs 1,000 from remaining funds to each NGO, and school principal Reneesh Matthew guided the team. Local corporator Aishwarya Pathare attended as chief guest, with student leaders highlighting lessons in leadership and teamwork.
