Pune issues notices to 97 private hospitals for nursing home regulation violations

The Pune Municipal Corporation has issued show-cause notices to 97 private hospitals for violating nursing home regulations. This follows a special inspection drive that began on January 10, identifying various compliance issues. Three hospitals in Undri, NDA Road, and Karve Road have been ordered to stop operations for lacking nursing home licenses. Hospitals have one month to address the violations before a reinspection occurs. Common issues include missing fire safety approvals, lack of patient complaint books, and improper staffing. Officials stated that strict actions will follow if compliance is not achieved.
