Public supports clean energy transition despite EPA rollbacks
A recent Yale study shows that two-thirds of Americans support a shift to clean energy by 2050, and three-quarters favor regulating carbon emissions. This reflects a strong public backing for environmental policies despite the EPA's announcement to roll back 31 regulations. The study, based on surveys of over 32,000 people, indicates that support for clean energy varies by region. For instance, only 43% of Wyoming residents back a full transition, while states like Maryland and Massachusetts show support rates around 75%. Additionally, about 63% of Americans express concern about global warming and its potential harm. Many believe that individuals and companies should take more action on climate change than government officials.
