Power outage affects Aiken's Westside, 360 customers impacted

On February 4, part of Aiken's Westside experienced a power outage affecting around 360 Dominion Energy customers. The outage occurred near Richland Avenue and the bypass, but the cause was not specified. A fire involving a power line was reported earlier in the day, prompting a response from the Graniteville-Vaucluse-Warrenville Fire Department. Power was mostly restored by 2:20 p.m., with about 70 customers still without service. This outage marks the first significant power disruption in Aiken since the prolonged outages caused by Tropical Storm Helene in late September.
