£33 billion motorway project to connect six countries in Europe
A new £33 billion project aims to build a 786-mile motorway connecting Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, and Turkey. This initiative will create a direct route from the Baltic region to the Aegean Sea, improving travel efficiency. The project, named ABC+De, is expected to take five to eight years to complete. It will enhance economic integration and tourism by providing better access and reducing travel times significantly. Additionally, the project includes plans for two cargo ports in Greece and Poland, along with supporting infrastructure like high-speed rail and 5G connectivity.
